American Etched Impressions was founded in 2006 with the sole purpose of marrying the owners' true passions in life.... TECHNOLOGY and CRAFTSMANSHIP. The owners, one a self-proclaimed techno-nerd, gadget freak and handyman and his best friend, a skilled carpenter, craftsman and trained artisan, put their heads together and found the perfect blend of both their worlds. With big dreams and even bigger drives, they founded AEI.

Carving, engraving and etching have been around for centuries. Traditionally, chisels, hammers and knives have been the tools of the trade. With the advent of lasers however, the rules changed and nearly all materials became a canvas upon which works could come to life.

Lasers have numerous advantages over the "old-world" techniques of yesterday; precision, consistency, repeatability and material compatibility. Ever tried to carve glass? Duplicate intricate details, exactly, over multiple pieces? Carve an entire wall at once? Well, we can....and do! Don't get us wrong, we still use the "traditional" tools and get our hands dirty. But, when precision, exact duplication and repeatability count, we have the "modern" tools to get the job done.

From design and layout to production and installation, each step is equally scrutinized and checked, repeatedly, to be sure it meets the requirements to move on to the next. A small flaw on the drawing board can result in a big imperfection in the finished work, potentially costing time and money to you as well as us. A bit obssesive? Maybe so. A lot better results? Definitely.
